About Security & Reputation Analysis
What is this tool?
The Security & Reputation Analysis suite cross-references IP addresses and domains against dozens of global threat intelligence databases and DNS Blacklists (DNSBL). It evaluates the historical behavior of an IP to determine if it has been involved in spam, malware distribution, or botnet activity.
Additionally, it features a Security Headers analyzer that grades a website's HTTP response headers (like Content-Security-Policy and Strict-Transport-Security) to evaluate its resilience against cross-site scripting (XSS) and clickjacking attacks.
How to use
- IP Reputation: Enter an IP to see its abuse confidence score and whether it belongs to a known proxy/VPN network.
- DNSBL Lookup: Enter a domain or IP to check if it's currently listed on major spam blocklists (like Spamhaus or SURBL).
- Security Headers: Enter a website URL to receive an A-F security grade and actionable remediation advice.
Why is it important?
Proactive reputation monitoring is essential for maintaining email deliverability and protecting network infrastructure.
- Email Deliverability: If your mail server's IP is on a DNSBL, your outgoing emails will bounce or go straight to the spam folder. Check your IP here before launching a campaign.
- Threat Hunting: Instantly determine if an unfamiliar IP attempting to access your servers is a known malicious actor.
- Compliance & AppSec: Use the Header Analyzer to ensure your web applications meet modern security compliance standards.
